Was I surprised?!? What a great restaurant! The chips are fresh, the salsa is served warm...and delicious. The Chicken Vallarta is one of my new favorite dishes. Staff is extremely kind and actually recommended this dish. Who knew that Carthage, TX had such a gem? Stay classy, Rancho Grande (that's the real name of this place).

Have had good experiences here. The food is always good, as is the service. Really enjoy the salsa, which is warm but tasty. The tableside guacamole is definitely worth a try if you like guac. In my opinion, the best Mexican food in Carthage.

I'm giving them four stars just because of their hot sauce! It's awesome!! Food was good but hot sauce was great. Will definitely go back anytime I'm in town.

The staff is very attentive and brings you a lot of chips. The salsa is warm and sort of tastes like pizza sauce with an absurd amount of pepper.  We had tamales, which left a lot to be desired. The cheese sauce tasted like cheap circus cheese, but at least it doesn't cost as much as a circus charges. Their rice was really good though. Generally, I would advise looking to eat somewhere else.

Our waiter went out of his way to provide fantastic service.  The salsa is a warm tomato and black pepper based salsa, the best I've had in years.  I cannot recommend this place enough, it was a great meal and if I'm back in the area I will stop by.
